Become a Surrogate

Why be a surrogate with us?

Putting it simply; we’ve thought of everything to support you and your family, whilst you help create another. We’re proud to be offering more varied and packed membership benefits than any other UK based surrogacy organisation.

Become a Surrogate

What is the criteria for a surrogate via My Surrogacy Journey?

We are the only organisation in the UK that employs full time a Fertility Nurse who is also our Clinical and Compliance Director, with over 25 years nursing experience – you’re in the best hands.

Our criteria is all featured in our surrogate e-brochure, however the highlights are here;

  • UK domiciled
  • 21-43 for a first time surrogate
  • No more than 2 pervious c-sections
  • Fit and healthy, physically and mentally with no underlying health conditions
  • Non-smoker/non vaper/no recreational drug use
  • BMI between 20-35
  • Alcohol consumption between the UK guidelines
  • Willing to undergo fertility treatment

What are the surrogate benefits?

It’s always been our goal to change the landscape by offering benefits never before offered by UK surrogacy organisations, this is why our surrogates receive over 50 benefits when they choose to be supported by MSJ.

These benefits have been created by our own research with UK surrogates and or in consultation with healthcare professionals and surrogacy experts. They are not to entice new members to our organisation, they are to offer complete support and may offer health benefits for you, your family or the baby you are carrying for someone else.

No other Surrogacy organisation offers the scale of benefits or the level of professional support that MSJ has created in our FREE membership.

What’s the process?

Once you have completed an enquiry (or this form), our Surrogate Lead will be in touch to see if you need any further information.

From there you can expect a process that moves at your pace. We have a registration form that you will need to complete, and once you have, we will schedule a confidential appointment with our clinical lead and fertility nurse, where she will ask you a series of questions about your health and if you have carried a pregnancy previously (this is not a requirement to be a surrogate) she will also discuss this. Following passing this stage we will offer a session with our counsellors for the final sign off. We will then apply for your DBS / Disclosure Scotland (police checks) as well as your identity checks. We will also help you obtain the important letter from your GP, as they will need to confirm you are fit and well to be a surrogate.

Next, we will introduce you to our online portal where you will build and complete a profile, ready for when intended parents can be granted access to view it, which you always approve first.

How long does registering take?

The process is totally at your pace, so you control the time it takes. Some surrogates have been signed off within 6 weeks, some have taken much longer.  For example, your partner or your children (if you have them) may not be quite on board, and this is key to the entire process. It’s important everyone who is impacted by surrogacy understands it.

What is matching?

Our personal Matching service also means the team around you have your every need considered, keeping you safe and cared for, through each of the milestones of our unique eight step support programme. We don’t own or control the matching process, you and the intended parent(s) do. Any Intended Parent viewing your profile will need your prior consent, ensuring you remain in control of your own surrogate journey. All our Intended Parents are also DBS checked too.

We’ve considered everything.

This is your journey.
